First meeting of the heads of the criminal police offices of the German federal states. Later on, it is renamed "Working Group of the heads of the state criminal police offices with the Bundeskriminalamt" (CID Working Group), headed by the BKA president since 1951.
26 criminal police officers and 1 administrative officer take up work at the "Protection Group" Division (Division SG) in Bonn which becomes part of the Bundeskriminalamt. In 1951 it is, among other things, housed in a rebuilt horse barn on the premises of Villa Selve in the Bonn city area.
Having both preventive and repressive functions, the "Protection Group" Division undergoes an organisational change. It is divided into:
- Standing operations (Personal protection)
- Subdivision I
- Investigations - Subdivision II
